We found this uncut roll which was originally purchased in the 1990's from an Army dispersal Auction.The roll was150ft long x 2 ft wide and we have managed to cut 50 scarfs from it measuring 3ft long x 2 ft wide each.

The scrim is made of soft feel cotton with 2 bound edges and 2 raw cut edges.

Green scrim netting scarf has been used by the British Army since the 1940's and was used for various tasks besides a scarf to wear around your neck, including to break up the shape of your body or any equipment you are carrying.

The green scrim scarf can be seen used by soldiers in Northern Ireland., The Falkland’s and even the 1st gulf War before shemaghs became popular.
