This fine antique Victorian English sterling silver vesta case has a plain rectangular form.
The body of this Victorian vesta case is embellished with an impressive rectangular white enamel panel with one cut corner resembling the curled corner of a sheet of paper.
The decoration to the enamel panel incorporates black script displaying, in an envelope style, ‘Paul E. Schweder’ to the centre and ‘4 Egerton Place. S.W.’ to the lower edge.
This antique vesta case is fitted with a plain hinged cover to one side and has a serrated panel/match striker to the other.
The posterior surface and ends of the case are plain and unembellished.
