Candy Land is a simple racing board game in which eager young players travel along a rainbow-covered path, past the Peppermint Forest and the Gumdrop Mountain, in an effort to be first to reach Home Sweet Home. To move their Gingerbread Man marker along the path, a player draws one of the simple color cards, advancing their marker to the next square of the same color. There's no reading required, making this an ideal first board game for children.
Designed for preschoolers ages three to six, Candy Land encourages socialization in playing with others, patience in waiting for one’s turn, and practice in recognizing colors, learning rules, and following directions.

The Game:
Chutes and Ladders is a terrific way for young children to learn about life’s ups and downs. Players get to climb the ladder of success as a reward for their good deeds, while having to slide down the chute as a consequence for naughty ones. The goal is to be the first player to move your child-shaped playing piece from square one to square 100 on the Chutes and Ladders game board--but watch out! If you land on the square that shows you ate too much candy--Ouch!--you get a tummy ache and slide down a chute to a square a few numbers below. But if you end your turn on a good-deed square, such as helping sweep up a mess, you'll be rewarded by a ladder-climb up the board. Chutes and Ladders is a timeless classic to be enjoyed by today’s children and everyone who is still a child at heart.

Sorry! Vintage Bookshelf Edition

The Game
Sorry! is a board game that is based on the ancient Indian cross and circle game Pachisi. Players move their four pieces around the board, attempting to get all of their pieces "home" before any other player. The game title comes from the many ways in which a player can negate the progress of another, while issuing an apologetic "Sorry!"
The objective is to be the first player to get all four of their colored pawns from their start space, around the board to their home space. The pawns are moved in a clockwise direction but can be moved backward if directed. Movement of pawns is directed by the drawing of a card.
The board game is laid out in a square with 16 spaces per side, with each player assigned their own coloured Start location and Home locations offset towards the center, one per side. Four five-square paths, one per colour, lead from the common outer path towards a player's Home and are designated their "Safety Zone". On each side are two "Slides", grouping four or five spaces each.
