Electrolytic Capacitors for:  Sinclair ZX Spectrum - ISSUE 2

This capacitor set is for The Sinclair ZX Spectrum- ISSUE 2 motherboard only.

These packs of capacitors are specific to your own machine type, and are easy to identify by checking your motherboard's revision version 

Update your old capacitors and replace them with new fresh and modern capacitors.

This will help to extend the life of your ZX Spectrum for many more years.

The original capacitors were not designed to last for 40 years and can potentially leak and damage your board and chips.

Before that happens, it is recommended that you solder in replacements to extend the computer's life.

A soldering iron and basic soldering skills are required 

Electrolytic capacitors are polarized, so make sure to note the polarity when replacing them

x6   22uf (axial)  (C25, C28, C34, C47, C50, *C65)

x2   1uf (axial)  (C27, **C46)

x3   100uf (axial)   (C44, C45, *C65)

x1   4.7uf (axial)   (C74)

* The capacitor at board location C65, may be a ceramic part on some motherboards. If this is the case, there is no need to replace this with a capacitor.

If your motherboard does have a capacitor at C65, it could be either a 22uf or a 100uf capacitor – both have been included in this pack.

** The silkscreen on the motherboard at location C46 indicates incorrect polarity, so  please install backwards.
