This is a stunning mixed-media artwork containing multiple black and white negatives, one of which was captured by famous Chicago-based street photographer Vivian Maier. The Maier negative used dates from roughly 1966-1973 and was captured onto 120 medium format Kodak Safety Film. For easy reference the Maier negative is the one that is square format. The other two negative images used were captured by unknown photographers. The mixed-media artwork was created by myself, Scott Whitworth/Richmond, using mixed-media techniques. Materials include ink, paper, photo negatives, biologics, and polyurethane.

This negative collage is a rare piece of art, a unique glimpse into Maier's world through her lens and into the Fine Art World through the critical skepticism of NotScallen. It is perfect for collectors of fine art photography, Americana enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates the beauty of black and white imagery. With its exquisite detail and historical significance, this negative is an excellent addition to any collection.

The negative of Vivian Maier's included in this piece has been physically reworked by myself, artist NotScallenShitworth, for the multi-media, time-based artwork “Vivian Maier's Plastic". The exact image capture dates for this negative aren't known, though other images from the ARTHoLE Collection of Vivian Maier negatives were dated to being from between roughly 1966-1973. This original negative was transformed into the current artwork between 2009 and 2023.
