This exceptional pair of antique George IV sterling silver wick trimmers has a hinged scissor action.
The domed anterior surface of this antique candle wick trimmer is embellished with bands of reed decoration to either side of the pivoting hinge.
The domed portion of these silver wick trimmers is further ornamented with thebright cut engraved initial "B".
The two handles and fingerpieces are ornamented with further reed decoration and incorporate central baluster shaped struts.
This fine example of antique silverware is supported by three pillar style legs with bun style feet.

The applied decoration is all very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the domed portion and part hallmarks to the hinged blade are all very clear.
