Hydraulic Ram Pump Filter. 1.5 NPT Female threads.
Attaches to the inlet of the drive pipe on a Ram Pump or irrigation pump. This is a high flow clog resistant filter designed to keep sticks, stones, plants and aquatic animals out of the pump. Multiple filters can be joined together to increase filtration surface area. The disk filter style is easy to clean. Normally a good shake and swirl in the water will get most debris out. If debris is wedged into it simply unscrew the cap, remove and clean the disks and reassemble. This should rarely be necessary as the filter design does not create as high flow spots as a canister style filter. This filter design helps prevent the creation of vortexes which will stop a Ram Pump or it can damage gas or electric pumps. The filter is made in the USA from USA made or imported raw materials.
It is made from the same type of plastic as many water bottles. Do not use for gasoline or other liquids known to degrade plastics. The threads are wrapped in thread sealant tape to avoid thread lock where same material threads can seize together making disassembly difficult. Additional disks will be available soon. Additional disks can be added to lower the particle size it filters out.
