Map of South America salvaged from an antique Edwardian atlas, believed to date from 1909, that was beyond repair.

Shows the major industries and exports of each area circa 1909, as well as the major shipping routes and the distances between international ports. Also shows colonial possessions and historical national boundaries. Has inset, larger-scale maps of Rio de Janeiro, Callao & Lima, and Valparaiso.

The map shows some authentic signs of ageing and wear, as expected for a document of its age, and may exhibit slight damage from the salvaging process. There is a small tear at the edge of the page but this doesn’t impact on the map itself.

Displayable condition. Dimensions of full page: 51.4 x 39.2 cm. Sent packaged inside a hard cardboard postal tube, within a protective plastic sleeve.
