The IC-M37 has a slim-designed body and big buttons, allowing for easy operation even while wearing gloves during fishing or sailing. This enables quick replies to calls. Additionally, the IC-M37 provides instant access to channel 16, as well as the Call channel.
The IC-M37 provides a powerful 700 mW (typical) audio output. Received voice can be heard loud and clear. It helps you to hear calls even in noisy onboard environments.
The BP-296 Li-ion battery pack, providing an operating time of approximately 12 hours for a full day of cruising or fishing experience. For added peace of mind during emergencies, the optional BP-297 battery case is also available.

The IC-M37 boasts exceptional IP57 waterproof protection, ensuring its safety even when submerged in water up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. Feel confident using it on deck or in dusty environments without any concerns.
If you accidentally drop the IC-M37 into the water, it will float, flash and sound an alarm. The buoyancy, the flashing light, and the sound reduce the risk of loss at sea even at night.
The AquaQuake™ prevents audio degradation from a water-logged speaker. This function removes water from the speaker grill by vibrating the speaker cone. You can hear clear audio with this function.
The IC-M37's 6 Watts of transmit power provides extended communication range for the user.
The Dualwatch and Tri-watch functions allow for periodic checking of Channel 16 while operating on another channel. This feature proves convenient when communicating with your friends' vessels or during sailing regattas, enabling you to make important announcements about the race.
When receiving signal is weak and difficult to hear, you can use the Monitor function to open the squelch and help you hear the signal.
