Vintage 1978 Texas Instruments TI Starbrust Digital Analog Mens Watch Silver Tone WORKS
PERSONAL HISTORY - This is my Dad’s old TI Starburst watch. He worked as an Integrated Circuits Engineer at Texas Instruments in Dallas for 36 years. He bought this watch new from TI shortly after they came out in 1978 and did wear it for several years, then just tossed in his desk drawer.
WEAR - It does have 2 damaged links on the bracelet near the bottom of the watch case – see picture). Those missing links do not impact the wearability of this watch. A little overall wear on the face. It keeps excellent time, has a New CR 2032 battery and has been Functionality Checked.
This watch also has the unique feature of having 7 different types of time display including : Hours & Minutes Minutes & Seconds Day & Date Time in a different Time Zone The watch also incorporates a stop-watch feature. The wrist watch has a stainless steel, strap and fascia. It is an example of the first totally electronic quartz LCD analogue watch which was introduced by TI in July, 1978.
