Vintage Antique German COMPASS Nautical Maritime MAP MEASURING INSTRUMENT  CHARTOMETER

Interesting antique device has wheel at bottom edge connected to gears that measure as You roll device along a map or or chart or blueprint

One side---converts "Inches to Miles to Verstes" "Centimeters to Kilometers" also marked COMPASS. GERMANY

The Other side "Made in Germany---Statute miles, Kilometers, nautical miles....1 Inch to 1 mile"

Convex Glass on each side, shiny chrome finish (Nothing is magnetic)

Has rotating hook at top for chain or string or necklace etc

Possibly made by Behram...but No makers mark

CONDITION: Excellent with light wear, no problems, no damage, no issues anywhere
