The real katana sword is battle ready, hand made by 9260 spring steel in the ancient sword making method with a full length Tang greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung. Full hand forged, hand polished and hand sharpened. The blade was well heat treating (Refining) and quenching(Tempering) greatly improve the hardness for real use (The 9260 spring steel feature amazing in hardness and flexibility which can be used on heavy targets without damaging the edge of the blade,and can revert back from an almost 90 degree bend ).The blade has shaped in "SHINOGUI-ZUKURI" style,two Hi on each side, one is longer and shallow from habaki to kissaki, other one HI is shorter and deep which is from habaki to the middle of the blade, the sword is sharp enough for chutting pratice,very good choice for Dojo students and collection, gifts and display. It is durable enough for cutting tameshigiri and bamboo.
(1) The wooden sword stand in item pictures is NOT included. A random sword bag comes with the sword.
(2) This Katana can be taken apart fully anytime for maintenance purposes, you can disassemble the sword from the handle by taking out two pegs.
(3) Due to our swords are full hand made. So specs will vary slightly from sword to sword. please understand.
