Two carte de visite photographs showing the exterior of a large building or country house.

On the back of each is written in ink or pencil: 'Aske Hall' and on one is also written 'Earl Zetland'.

Taken by J Raine, Photographer, Albert Place, Richmond. They probably date to circa 1860s.

Each card measures about 6 cm x 10 cm.

Condition: both images have faded quite considerably; cards are a bit wavy; various surface marks to card; various surface marks to images including scuffs and scratches; some wear to edges and corners; bottom edge of one of the images is poorly trimmed - possibly occurred when image was stuck on the backing card by the photographic studio. Condition is subjective so please study the photographs carefully to make your own judgement.

The colours in the photographs will not be completely accurate due to variables in the photos or scans we use and individual computer settings.
