This is an incredible 1984 Prince TYPE 1 Original Photo. In this close-up performance photo you see Prince hitting a solo while on Tour. This was an important time for Prince since he was on his "Purple Rain Tour".  He had a movie in which he starred in called "Purple Rain" that won him an Academy Award. He created the soundtrack which received huge commercial success spending 6 consecutive months number 1 on the Billboard Top 200. This album would go on to sell 13 million copies making Prince the first artist to have a #1 Movie, #1 Single and a #1 Album all simultaneously. This moment was captured while performing at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on November 1984. This photo was taken by Ebet Roberts who is one of my favorite Hollywood Photographers specializing in the music world for almost 50 years.
