This is not sterling but solid silver which is better for the wrist because the silver will be a little softer. There are no alloys in the silver as with sterling.

In 2011 the watch was acquired and show the price tag of $850.  We are the third owners of the watch and replaced the movement with another wind up movement.  The watch works and works for the women with a medium wrist. If you have a delicate wrist or a large one greater that can fit into the 2 3/8 inch band then the watch is not for you. 

Watch was designed for the women of medium height and build of the 1950's French Background.  The watches were a luxury item at the time.
