They are not actually plants, they are a form of algae

Ancient Greeks first used seaweed to restore health and cure illness

This rare colour bookplate has been saved from a vintage 1960s botanical non flowering plants book, it displays beautiful life like colour and detail of the various seaweeds shown for example

Peacock's Tail ( Padina Pavonica) isolated rare and vulnerable to extinction

Sea Cellophane (Monostroma Grevillei)
