SINGLE DOME TANK CAR

The Sunoco Single Dome Tank Car No. 6555 is an all metal car that was available in 1949 and 1950. It consisted of a die-cast frame without steps, sheet-metal tank, and the lettering is by decals, on the left "SUNOCO" diamond, and on the right side "S.U.N.X. 6555." Cars whose decals have not discolored with age are highly valued today. This car came with a brake stand, metal handrails, ladders, and placards that are usually located on the ends, however, there are no steps at the corners of the chassis.

This is a Variation B: Sunoco decal without "GAS" and "OILS" inside the YELLOW diamond logo, and a large lettered "S.U.N.X." decal.
Condition: The owner of this item had a Lionel collection that consisted mainly of "Lionel New, Mint in box" pieces. He did, for whatever reason, have a few "Pre-Owned" pieces. This is one of them. Perhaps he could not find a new one when he was looking to buy these. Still, when he got it home, all he did was take a picture of it and put it away, never to be used again. Since it was used, I can't test it and offering it "AS IS" NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS. This item has no paperwork and no original box. The box provided is for shipping and storage purposes.
HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A LAYOUT TO RUN HIS TRAINS!!! The original owner tried to limit his collection to Lionel Limited Editions and unique pieces. He would purchase a piece, bring it home, take it out of its box and set it on a 3 ft. section of track. Along with a small transformer to test electronics, that's all he had!! Then he would take pictures of his purchases and then put them in their boxes, and THEY NEVER LEFT THEIR BOX AGAIN!! NEVER RUN ON RAILS!!!!

RETURNS / REFUND POLICY
