Have had this about 40 years, purchased from a vintage store.  Only wore it once to a fancy dress affair.  It is actually pretty sturdy.  Made of beads and sequins it seems perfect.  I think it's antique, but don't really know.  I mostly take it out to admire the work and then return it to it's box.
