This is a listing for a pen made from a genuine .50 caliber machine gun casing.  The "bullet" portion of this pen was made from a piece of deer antler.  This pen surface is smooth, as can be seen in the close-ups.

The first picture shows the entire pen so you can see what they look like.  The last picture shows the back end of the pen, showing the fired primer of the .50 caliber machine gun casing.  The rest of the pictures show the antler of the pen from different angles so you can see the variation in the antler.  The unique coloring of the antler of the pen can be seen in the close-up pictures.

The pen is just under six inches long with the writing tip retracted and the "bullet" end twists to extend or retract the writing tip. It takes Cross-style refills available at office supply stores. The "bullet" was turned on my lathe, then sanded to 600 grit, then finished by polishing in several layers of CA glue, buffing it to a medium shine.

This would be a great pen for a gun enthusiast or military member, or someone who just likes unique pens. Definitely a fun conversation piece!

I left the brass casing natural to show the patina that will build on the casing but a bit of brass polish and they become very bright brass colored.

Use your pen to open your favorite beverage?  You bet!!  You now have a choice between the normal pen or one with a built-in bottle opener.  Check the last 2 pics for the bottle opener option.  Just let me know when you purchase the pen which shell you want.  I'll attempt to message you if you don't let me know, and if I don't hear a response, I'll ship the normal pen.
