This is hand-turned pen made from a block of colorwood and a genuine 30.06 caliber rifle casing.  This wood is definitely a conversation piece.  What is colorwood?  Thin plys of wood that have been dyed, then glued together.  It is a very dense plywood that is strong enough to make gun stocks out of.

This is a one-of-a-kind, beautiful pen and would make a perfect gift for yourself or someone special.

The wood from the pen is sanded to 600 grit then finished with a sanding polish and finally coats of friction polish wax. The hardware is gun metal colored.

It has a cross-style ink refill.  If you need to replace the refill, simply pull the two halves of the pen apart, unscrew the refill, and replace it.  Refills are available at any office supply store.

This is a once-fired (at least) 30.06 caliber casing.  There is a possibility it may have a bit of burnt gunpowder residue inside the casing so it might set off an alarm at the airport!  Because it is a genuine casing, it will most likely have some nicks or bumps from being ejected from the rifle when it was fired.
