Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing.

A scarce Harrisburg imprint of a pocket book of the works of Thomas Kempis, and the first of two printed by Gustav Sigismund Peters (1793-1847), a German-born American printer who was the first in Pennsylvania to print pieces in color. While designed as a children’s book, the text is rather advanced and likely benefited adult audiences more.
