Body colour front bumper with black lower extension, front air dam, louvred bonnet air intakes, integral driving lights, driver airbag, Ford 2007 RDS radio. Factory Options: Luxury Model comprising of; electrically operated and heated door mirrors, ‘Quickclear’ heated windscreen, heated washer jets, three-spoke leather covered steering wheel, rear centre armrest, rear head restraints, electric sunroof, electric windows, carpeted door bins. EXTERIOR
Finished in iconic Diamond White, (Code B 2), the finish can be described as impeccable thanks to the ultra-low mileage and indoor storage. The black lower bumper extension with front air splitter has no marks. All glass, lights and trim are in perfect condition. The underside of this 408 mile example is astonishing. Labels, stickers, tags and paint dabs are visible just as it left the factory. The light application of wax applied at the Rheine Assembly Plant with a yellow tinge has never been removed.
INTERIOR
The body-hugging Recaro seats in Hexagon Grey Cloth, (Code L9), are sublime with complete fullness. All trim, switch gear and touch points are factory fresh in part due to the incredibly low mileage but also due to the owner wrapping protective film throughout. The door cards and all carpeting is perfect. All electrics are operational including the Ford 2007 RDS radio/cassette and being the Luxury Edition, a full range of features are standard with the added benefit of optional air conditioning too.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The powerful Cosworth 2.0 litre 16v turbocharged YBT engine with 220bhp so 0-60mph is obliterated in 5.7 secs and a top speed of 140 mph. The car has been fully recommissioned in by Harvey Gibbs at Supreme Car Services. The permanent Ferguson four wheel drive system with 34/66% front/rear power split mated to a MT 75 5-speed gearbox is a proven combination.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Ford RS 8 X 16” five soft-spoke alloy wheels built by Ronal are pristine and shod in the specially formulated Pirelli P Zero tyres developed for the Escort RS Cosworth. ABS anti-lock system with ventilated discs offer immense stopping power having been overhauled.
HISTORY FILE
This iconic Ford Escort RS Cosworth was built in December 1995 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany and registered new on the 22nd January 1997. According to Ford historians, the last ever Escort RS Cosworth was also built in November 1995 and left the Karman factory on 12 January 1996 with chassis number SP93313, (unfortunely this car has now been stolen). Still registered to the Ford Motor Company, this would make this one registered keeper with minuscule mileage, one of the very last few made!
Purchased by Rodney Fletcher, Proprietor of Rod Allen Cars at a Ford Closed Sale held by National Car Auctions on the 24th March 1997. The vehicle had covered 24 miles at this point as printed on the Lot sheet. Mr Fletcher covered 352 miles on Trade Plates before deciding to place it at the rear of his showroom surrounded by wall mirrors and marked up at a healthy £32,995. Knowing it was one of the last produced and no new examples were to be made, there it remained until March 2006 when a Ford enthusiast purchased it. The Used Car Sales Invoice reveals the purchase price of £32,995 along with two letters. One from Rod Allen Cars asking the new owner not to modify or alter the original specification in anyway and if stored correctly and unused he would buy it back minus 10%. The other letter dated 31st March 2006 from Chris Shambrook, Manager Auction Sales at the Ford Motor Co, stating his predecessor, Mr David Berry, ‘remembers selling the white Cosworth at which time it had covered a nominal distance of twenty four miles’. At the point of sale in March 2006 the vehicle was serviced as evidenced in the history file and had its first MOT with 353 miles.
The new owner had one further MOT in 2007 when the car had covered 378 miles before wrapping the car in protective film and placing it in storage. Now fully prepared to the exacting KGF Classic Cars meticulous standards and fully recommissioned by one of the country’s leading Cosworth Specialists, Harvey Gibbs of Supreme Car Services. The original book pack is present along with three keys including the red master.

- KGF Classic Cars was formed by the owner’s desire to pass on the enjoyment of amazingly original, modern classic cars and the pleasure these vehicles offer to their appreciative owners.
The eldest son of Italian-born parents – whose families came to the Cambridgeshire Fens after WWII to make bricks for new housing – Karl Fasulo grew up in the 70s and 80s when there were fewer cars on the roads.
His appreciation of beautiful motors began when his engineer father, Sav, purchased a red 1983 Mercedes 280SL as a weekend car back in 1985. That same Mercedes is still well-loved and driven regularly by Karl and is now in the showroom for all to see!
After a successful career spanning two decades selling and managing premium vehicles for dealerships in London and Cambridgeshire, Karl decided to set up KGF Classic Cars, to source original, modern classic cars and share them with like-minded knights of the road.
He says: “As a kid, I would squeeze in the back of our lovely red Mercedes with my brother and sister (seatbelts were not mandatory at that time!) – Mum and Dad in the front and all of us enjoying the outing. I would gaze out at other cars and my brother and I would shout out all the makes and models of the ones going by!
“With encouragement from my father, I entered the world of classic cars at 15, when I saved up and bought a 1964 Riley Elf Mk 2. This car was cleaned and polished every weekend until I was 17 when I threw away my L-plates and took to the road. My interest never subsided, even during my career at BMW – to the point where driving these older cars gave me more pleasure than the modern offerings. Perhaps it is just happy childhood memories, but there is something about those classics which draws me back to them every time . . .”
