This photo was to promote the 3rd annual "American Bowl" which was a highly publicized pre-season game between the 49ers and Dolphins while being held in the famous Wembley Stadium. Even though this was a pre-season game it featured Montana against Dan Marino. The 49ers would advance to win the Superbowl that season.
