This year, the second generation Savannah RX-7 (FC3S type) also underwent major changes for the first time in four years. The later model became even more popular as it became a pure sports car, with power increased from 185 horsepower to 205 horsepower, and the bonnet (partly) made of aluminum, and the Eunos Roadster, which also appeared in 1989, became a huge hit. At the time, Mazda was even said to be the world's largest mass-producer of sports cars.
