Description

This formidable album contains two suites full of sonic pleasure composed by Prokofiev: ``The Love of the Three Oranges'' Suite and ``Scythian Suite (Ara and Rory)''.

Performers are the London Symphony Orchestra led by Antal Dorati.

This is the same combination as "Phoenix" which will be released at the same time.

The recording venue is also the same Watford Town Hall, and the recording time is 1957, about two years before "The Firebird".

The performance and recording of the two suites included here are both excellent, but if I had to choose one as an audio highlight, I would say "Scythian Suite (Ara to Rory)” wins.

As long as the playback equipment is in perfect condition, you can fully enjoy the acoustic pleasure of a large orchestra.

Be sure to reproduce the heavy-duty dynamics transients captured by just three omnidirectional microphones in your audio system.
