Antique Art Deco HENRI PETITOT & MULLER-FRERES LUNEVILLE Bronze & Pink Art Glass Chandelier

A large French 1930-35 art deco chandelier in cast bronze by the famous Paris based company of Henri Petitot holding a bowl and four side-shades. These shades were produced by the Muller Freres Luneville glass factories. The center shade is signed. Very good antique condition; no chips, cracks, or repairs.

The bronze maker Antonin Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Henri took over in 1917 and developed the company into a wholesale operation selling lamps to lighting shops all over Europe. They became the largest producer of French art deco lighting in the late 20s and early 30s. Petitot produced precious fixtures in high quality bronze with shades by the best French glass manufacturers. The mounting is marked on the inside with the usual Petitot foundry initials AP for Antonin Petitot. The chandelier is represented in the 1931 Petitot product catalog (which is not included in this offer).

Measures approx. 33" long from top to bottom and 23" in diameter at the bottom (from side-shade fitting to side-shade fitting).

A very beautiful and rare art deco piece that makes any living space more stylish and classy.
