Workout at home this year with this DIY pull up bar made from galvanised steel made to last outside without rusting. 3.25mm thick steel ensures no bending in the bar, alot sell this at only 1.75mm thick. These are heavy duty bars and weigh around 5kg each.

Many exercises can be performed on these bars, such as;

Dips

Pull ups

Chin ups

Muscle ups

Knee raises

Leg raises

Front/back lever

Air walks etc.

The bar is 33.9mm wide and 3.25mm thick, which is the perfect grip size, 1.5 metre in length, leaving plenty of room and thick enough to take up to 150kg.

This is DIY Kit and consists of:

1X Galvanised Pull Up Bar (33.9mm, 1.5m)

2X Clamps, Complete With Grub Screws

1X Allen Key

REQUIRED ARE SCREWS TO ATTACH TO THE POSTS. I RECOMMEND 5MM SCREWS AROUND 50-70MM IN LENGTH.

The Build

As no wooden posts are included, you would need to purchase these and concrete them into the ground for the bars to be attached to. The clamps are 85mm wide, so post width would have to be 100mm or more.

I recommend any of the following post size

100mm x 100mm

125mm x 125mm

150mm x 150mm

For pull-up bars, a 2.7m-3m post would be required for people over 6ft.  Allowing 2ft (60cm) into the floor to be co concreted.

The included clamps have 4 fixing holes in each, which secure the bar in place and a grub screw which is used to tighten the bar with the included allen key to stop the bar from rotating.
