6 page photo illustrated article from a very rare 1904 sports periodical - the article is entitled "The A.B.C of Boxing"

Very interesting old article in which 2 lightweight champions Ben Jordan and W Baxter give a lesson.

"Their names are household words wherever boxing is known, and their records will satisfy the most exacting critic that the various positions given of attack and defence are correctly executed. Baxter has won innumerable contests, amongst them the 8st 6lbs championship in which he beat Fred Johnson in 42 rounds and the 9st championship open to the world and he is now boxing instructor at Eton college. Ben Jordan is probably the best man alive at his weight, and has proved that an English boxer can still hold his own by beating George Dixon for the featherweight championship in America"

CONDITION Please note these are genuine actual pages extracted from a rare Edwardian disbound periodical and there are no covers and some articles may include the ending or beginning of other articles. Whilst the images show the article in its still bound state, the article will be sent as loose pages. Some pages may be showing signs of foxing / browning due to the age of the paper
