About the Soundstream VDVD-165

If you want to add video capabilities to your vehicle, you've got a couple of choices. You could change the stock receiver to a DVD or multimedia receiver, or you can add a stand-alone DVD player like the Soundstream VDVD-165 to your existing aftermarket car stereo. Each route has its own advantages, but in many cases you may prefer to go with a stand-alone player — for example, it's a great choice if you're putting a system into an RV.

Soundstream VDVD-165

You can mount the VDVD-165 in the dash or use the included brackets for other locations.

Just what you need

Soundstream designed the VDVD-165 as a video jack-of-all-trades. Just add a screen and an amp and this player is ready to go as the heart of your vehicle's A/V system — and at a very attractive price, too. You can mount this Soundstream in the single-DIN (2" tall) opening in your dash above or below your aftermarket radio, so it can deliver the DVD signal to your rear screens. Or you can use the supplied brackets to mount it on a variety of flat surfaces, wherever you've got space in your vehicle.

The player comes with a remote control and an IR repeater, so you can take charge of the system when you're out of line of sight. In addition to the front DVD slot, you'll find a convenient USB input. So if you're not watching a movie, you can check out vacation photos or listen to MP3 music files.

Note: The Soundstream VDVD-165 is not designed to replace your factory DVD player.
