Australian Aboriginal Hand Painted Art Wood Shield, Brolgas Crane & Waterholes

Item Details:  Strikingly detailed and colorful original Aboriginal hand painted wood art shield. The animals and reptiles depicted in Aboriginal art are totemic spirits and the Central / Western Desert Aboriginal artists paint their Dreamings to honor their ancestral spirits. Brolgas (Cranes) are often featured in traditional Aboriginal art as part of a celebration or 'Dreaming' story. A number of traditional Aboriginal legends and dances are associated with the bird, and use movements that mimic their graceful performances. The shield is in excellent condition with minor, barely noticeable surface marks. Please take a close look at the photos for a better idea of condition.
