SNAGS Tree Kit
Makes five "SNAG" Type Model Trees
This is the KIT option.
You must make the SNAG trees for yourself from this KIT.
Modelers: From these KITS, you can make for yourself up to five Snag Trees, with REAL cedar trunks and dead branches material (included). Carefully examine the photos to review the contents that you will receive. Also included are several stainless-steel pins and also 1/2 cut toothpicks, your choice for how you'd like your snag tree to stand up. These trunks feature engraved bark detail, appropriate color, taper, and a hole in the bottom for placing the mounting pin you choose.

Making snags can be tricky, so there is a video to help you, somewhere! No reference to that here. You will need to drill holes in the narrow trunks with a drill bit, or alternatively (and carefully!) burn the holes into the trunk with a soldering iron. The trunks do NOT come with the holes pre-drilled. This is a CRAFTSMAN Kit, and not for children under 40.
Our real cedar wooden trunks have a realistic taper found nowhere else, because in 2010 we built a sanding/turning machine especially for this purpose. The trunks in this kit are turned from Port Orford Cedar, a "white cedar" of excellent quality.
We then add the Bark Detail, again with our own machine, aka "Bob Barker". Each trunk has a hole in the bottom to accept a "planting pin" which on the 7" trunks we use 1/2 toothpicks which we supply. A 3/32 nail can be substituted (must remove head first).
I want modelers to have great looking scenery on their layouts. From this kit, you can craft the finest quality snag trees available anywhere.
