The Note 10 Lite is a bit of an odd one in terms of its target audience. There already is a full-on Note 10 as well as an S10 Lite, so offering a "Lite" version of the Note series feels extra unnecessary since both of the aforementioned models cover the high-end price segment pretty well. But regardless of feeling redundant on the surface level, it's still a solid smartphone with many high-end features.
Build Quality
With 199 grams, the Note 10 Lite is heavier than the non-Lite Note 10. The rear side of the device features a cheap, slippery plastic that is prone to collecting a ton of fingerprints and scratches, which is certainly not ideal for a high-end device. On the front side, there is a punch-hole camera that is pretty unobtrusive. Expectedly, the beloved S-Pen is back with the Note 10 Lite and sits in its own slot at the bottom right corner of the device. What is not back and definitely won't be missed -- at least by many users -- is the not-so-beloved Bixby button. Due to the large form factor, it's not ergonomic to use the device one-handed most of the time. Lastly, for the old times' sake, the increasingly rare 3.5 mm headphone jack is included for the wired headphone users.
Super AMOLED Display and the Fingerprint Sensor
The display included with the device is no slouch. As many smartphone users already know, Samsung provide top-tier displays for their high-end phones and the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display here is a pleasure to have for sure. The colour accuracy is above average, with natural-feeling colours and a quite satisfactory contrast ratio. The brightness levels are impressive as well -- with 800 nits of max brightness and the HDR10 support, using the device outdoors is very comfortable. The only possible complaint one could have would be the lack of a high refresh rate, but maybe for a more affordable high-end, it's not a dealbreaker. The 1080 x 2400-pixel resolution panel provides 394 ppi of above-average sharpness. Finally, the fingerprint sensor is a bit underwhelming due to being under the display.
Three Cameras and Battery Life
There are three cameras included with the Note 10 Lite. All of them are 12-MP sensors with telephoto, ultrawide and standard lenses. There is a functional night mode feature, just don't expect much from it. The images look vivid and sharp overall and the 4K video resolution is nice to have. What's not super nice to have is the single speaker at the bottom of the device. The lack of a stereo speaker setup on a high-end device is always noticeable, unfortunately. At least the battery life is above average thanks to its 4,500 mAh capacity -- keeping the device alive on a single charge for a full day. There is an 18 W fast charger included in the box too.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite starts at under £350 and the base model comes with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of expandable internal storage, the octo-core Exynos 9810 processor and runs on Android 10.
