Vintage 1930's 3M Heavy Duty Dispenser for use with Scotch Cellulose Tape, First Model

You are viewing this Exquisitely Rare 1930's 3M HEAVY DUTY TAPE DISPENSER! Very cool looking! Built to last a life time and then some and they do not make them like this any more.

A rare find. After a thorough search, I'm convinced that this is the "only" one listed anywhere on eBay. Most were probably melted down during the metal drives of WWII. Made by "The MINNESOTA MINING & MANUFACTURING CO." of Saint Paul, Minnesota which is now known as 3M (Stock Symbol NYSE: MMM), it weighs in at a whopping 7 pounds, 2 ounces! Will fit any standard three inch sized tape rolls.

It still has the original textured paint finish with the original label (albeit some the worse for wear). I believe the base to be of cast iron. The topside is manufactured from thick steel. Three of the original stoppers on the bottom are missing in action, but the weight is more than adequate to keep it in place during use.

An excellent collectible which is suitable for use in your home, office or business environment. A great collectible display piece!
