Detailed antique map of Louisiana and Florida, by Rigobert Bonne (1727-1794). The map extends from the Mississipi Valley to Charlestown, in South Carolina. The map shows Virginia and North Carolina too. With some details on the Indian tribes and the forts.

Rigobert Bonne was one of the most important French cartographers of the late 18th century. He was one of the most respected masters of mathematics, physics, and geography in Paris. In 1773, Bonne succeded Jacques-Nicolas Bellin as Royal Cartographer to France in the office of the Hydrographer at the Depôt de la Marine.
