DOUBLE SUNDAY is SANDNES GARN's thickest yarn made from 100% merino wool - an ideal base yarn, thick and not treated with superwash. It can be knitted with single thread or double thread and harmonizes perfectly with TYNN SILK MOHAIR. Merino wool not only impresses with its excellent thermal insulation, but the structure of its fibers also wicks moisture away from the body and retains warmth even when damp. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it feels wet. SANDNES GARN suppliers assure that the wool does not come from sheep that have been subjected to the mulesing process.
