You are viewing a very rare skookum doll from the 1920s. With its highly unusual, if not totally unique face among Schook dolls. The original beaded necklace collar, is all original, as evidenced by the fact that you would have to take the dolls head off to remove the necklace! The uniqueness of this doll‘s face is a stand out, with her finally detailed nose and features. This may be an original face and on the back of the head what you see isn’t hair loss it’s an indication of the finely feathered features that are missing. The buckskin beaded skirt is also unusual, on the back there is a stiff area that is evidenced in the photographs. Thank you so much for viewing this stand out skookum doll.
