Offered is the Home Brew Tube Hi Fi Amplifier. This one is a Push-Pull 6L6GC output type. It requires (2) 6SF5, (2) 6SN7GT, (2) 6L6GC output tubes and a 5U4GB rectifier. The chassis is aluminum. The tube sockets are crudely mounted to the chassis with unmatched sheet metal screws. The amp uses an octal plug-in filter capacitor can. The power transformer bears no name, some numbers are visible, but not enough to identify it. The output transformer is by RAM, part no. AU-609/R617-49R. The amp appears to have two chokes. Both 6L6GC tubes have broken bottom keys-visible in the photos-these tubes test GOOD. The 5U4GB Rectifier tube is also good. The other tubes are untested and included "as is" they are (1) 6SF5 and (2) 6SN7GT types. The amp is not well constructed. It appears to be assembled with junk-box parts by an unskilled craftsman. The tubes light up upon variac-testing. No further testing was performed. The amp has a few un-attached wires. The output transformer measures OK on the DMM with primary windings of 281 and 326 ohms and secondary windings of about 1.4 and 1.5 ohms. No other parts were tested. Three sets of double screw terminals are mounted across the rear apron-two are hooked up and one has no wires attached. The amp has (4) rotary controls with nice black chickenhead knobs attached. The amp has two toggle switches on the front as well as a pilot lamp socket (no lamp included). The amp is offered for restoration or parts and strictly "as is" due to age. Tested only briefly as noted above.  Pick up the amp for your own restoration or for its many desirable parts.13 X 10 X 7 inches in size.
