27 pages. 6 3/8 x 9 1/2 inches
Poem by Gerard Vernon Wallop, 9th Earl of Postsmouth (1898-1984), who was Viscount Lymington when he wrote this work. Lymington, born in Chicago and raised for some years in Wyoming before returning to England, was a right-wing figure in British politics in the years before World War II.
The book is noteworthy as an example of the output of The Black Sun Press, founded by Harry Crosby and his wife Clarisse. The press was distinguished by the high quality of its editions and typographic excellence, and it became one of the most important small presses in Paris in the 1920s.
First edition, printed Autumn 1929. 25 copies printed on Japan Paper, of which this is copy number 3. Signed by the author.
