Description: Pencil baits are particularly well suited to attracting and catching predatory fish that are sensitive to surface prey.
Pencil baits have a long, thin body, a small head and usually have no pressure plate, making them a more natural, low-profile swim instead of creating a large splash when moving on the surface like a spinnerbait.
Swimming behaviour: By manipulating the tip of the rod, the pencil bait can be swung from side to side or nodded on the surface of the water, simulating the state of a small fish running away from fear or struggling with injuries, creating ripples and subtle sounds to lure the target fish.
Hooking method: The front and belly of pencil baits are usually equipped with iron rings for mounting single
hooks or multi-hook combinations, such as Sanben hooks, to ensure stinging effect.
