DESCRIPTION: Brilliant performances of great cultural and historical significance by the legendary Pablo (Pau) Casals. Casals is credited for reawakening the then obscure unaccompanied cello works of J.S. Bach much the same way Joseph Joachim had done for Bach’s unaccompanied violin works in the late nineteenth century. Recorded at Abbey Road - Studio 3, London, 1936. Records range from E to E-, they are all clean and shiny. Play graded with a 3.5 ET stylus. Beautiful copies of these masterpieces!
