Unique hand carved chair with elephant and lion on the front with leaf design. Back is plain - please see photos

In two pieces which slot together

Hardwood - very weighty

Different shades and tones of brown. Different textures. Please see photos

Main back piece is 97cm long and 36cm wide.

Seat and supporting back piece is 70cm long by 31cm wide

When put together it is 80cm high, 57cm long and 31cm wide

Previous owner's parents bought it in Africa in the mid 1970s - not sure which country

There is an uncarved piece just on the side below the lion's mouth. Please see photos. Possibly been knocked away during its life
