Penn Hardware started making this pattern in the 1880s. Reading had their Columbian Design. Corbin copied them with their Empire / Beastie design. Nashua even got into the game before they were bought out by producing a short lived, very similar, Franconia design. Other than Franconia this is the rarest of the Victorian Beastie patterns.
