ITEM YOU ARE BIDDING ON: This is a super rare, vintage Louis Vuitton horsewhip. Or at least I believe it’s a horsewhip. However, an eBayer believes it is a shaving strop. It may look like a shoe horn but the leather portion is a very flexible leather material. This is a vintage piece either that predates 1960s, but can’t date it. Bought it off a woman in France who believes this was a custom made piece. Louis Vuitton in Paris will custom make anything, and did a lot of custom pieces in the 60s and before. This item is in good vintage condition with some wear to the leather. As well, it looks like some of the stitching has been redone on the monogram handle (at the bottom). This item measures 19 inches long by 2 inches wide, at the widest point. Great vintage piece for a horse person’s den/office or a barber shop/shaving salon!
