The production of baby pearls requires very high technology and the amount of beaches raised is small. As a percentage, the production of 2mm size is less than 0.01% of the production of domestically cultured pearls, and the production of 3mm size is 1.5%. Only 2.5% of 4mm size and 3.5% of 5mm size are produced.

It is very rare with only 6.5% of the total production.
