Harmony H1320 Monterey 1938 Archtop Guitar

Professionally and sympathetically restored in 2017/2018 by ‘Vintage and Traditional Guitars’ - invoice included, see pic.

A very nice looking and playable guitar. The top E at the 12th fret is just under 3mm (it holds 3mm thickness plecs in place see pic). Unrestored arch tops of this era often have a much higher action with the neck needing to be reset to make them playable.

The bridge height can be increased but I would say it’s at the premium now. The metal adjustable wheels on the bridge have been removed but they are included and can easily be fitted should you want to raise the action.

The neck has a ‘hard V’ profile typical of the era and nicely playable.

Tuners and general pitch holding is good with no issues.

Has a light gauge Argentine gypsy jazz strings fitted currently.

The case is a period covered pressed board type - please note it doesn’t offer much protection if transported outside etc but it is nicely period.
