Little Witch Doll with Broom & Cauldron

Hi there, and thank you for popping in!

This perfectly prim little Witch will make a lovely addition to your Valentine and Witchy collections! She's small enough to pop onto a bookshelf or in any nook or cranny that needs a bit of sweet fun.

Witchy was created from osnaburg muslin I stained and painted. She was first painted pink, and then topped with a sparkly pink glitter paint for some sassy shimmer! Her hat was painted in the same way. She's about 14" tall and has been weighted so she can stand independently. 

Please refer to the last photo in which Witchy is photographed with a Sharpie pen to show scale.

She has onyx bead eyes and a needle-quilted face. Her hat is secured to her head, a frayed cheesecloth apron tied on with a bit of jute string and Witchy love charms, and carries a little broom I fashioned from a Crepe Myrtle stick, wire, and raffia between her hands. She's been sanded a bit to make her appear old and tattered, a "Loved for a Hundred Years" look.

Witchy has been brewing up a love spell in her little black cauldron. It's a small black metal tub with wool roving and Angelina fibre "smoke". Inside is a battery-operated tea light. The tea light has a timer - once switched on it will stay lit for six hours, and then turn itself off for 18, to come back on the same time each day. It looks so magical as it lights up and flickers! :)

Please note that in the photo of the cauldron in the dark, it appears to shine very brightly. It does not shine that bright. Just a beautiful, subtle magical glow.
