Rare 1933 First Edition of "Toyland Tales".  Grosset & Dunlap Publishers

An odd duck in the world of photoplay editions and juvenile series books Grosset & Dunlap made so popular in the 30's and 40's.
This one has no year it was published, no author or editor and it is not part of a series.

Odd is that it has a color image of Joe Corntassel (Character from 1931 radio show Little Orphan Annie) on the page side of the flyleaf. Found no reference to him in the book anywhere......

Book has no table of contents.  Has numerous short stories like Heather, The spider game, Sparrow's Adventure, The Coconut-Boy becomes a farmer, Fisherman's luck, The Snail's Shell and many more. Has 6 color drawings and many black and white drawings.

Has factory graphic of "This Book Belongs To" on flyleaf with writing of owner and date of September 18, 1934.

Condition:
Green cloth hardcover good.  Has shelf wear on edges.  Spine color has faded and it shows more wear than rest of cover.
Inside is VG.  Hinge, spine, text block, all good.  Pages not faded too bad.  No rips or damage to pages that I came across.
