Okay here is a rare find for all you Guitar collectors. A 1968 Fender Precision Bass Guitar with original case, polishing cloth, and original set of Fender strings. Very Good to excellent condition. A few chips and wear thru marks but better than most we have seen on Ebay. This guitar was sent to Guitar Center February 4th 2024 to have them go aver and check for issues and get the Fender date codes. Also to check if everything was original. We have copied and pasted the emailed report.

We spoke on the phone earlier about that vintage bass you dropped off, It cleaned up beautifully and works great. The electronics were a little crackly at first, but once I sprayed them out with some contact cleaner they came back to life and work flawlessly. As far as I can tell almost everything is original and undisturbed. There's no name on the pots but I was able to get a picture of some production numbers that weren't covered by solder. The pickups were expectedly blank, but seem to be original. I think the nut was replaced at some point in its life and the slots are a bit wider than they should be, but are not affecting anything so I don't recommend replacing it. Especially since it seems to have been replaced a long time ago. It intonated well and plays great. I have more pictures but I'm going to have to split them between a couple emails. I just included the ones I think you'd be more excited to see first including how clean this thing is now. Oh I also wanted to mention I used the strings that it came in with. I just cleaned them with some rubbing alcohol and they still feel and sound great. Hey, here's the second batch of pictures. The blacklight photos show that it hasn't been refinished or anything. The electronics components are all grounded to each other by that metal shielding plate that's under the pickguard. I think that's it for pictures you requested and that I thought would be pertinent. If there's anything else you'd like just let me know. This was a real fun bass. I was playing it for a little while before I sent this email.
