This is a somewhat rare Series 10 Tube Driver O.D. pedal from my collection. I've owned several Series 10 pedals over the years and I’ve never came across another S10 Tube Driver. This pedal was manufactured in Japan by Aria in the late 80’s/early 90’s, based on information from the EffectsDatabase website. Other than that, I haven’t been able to find out any information about this pedal anywhere.

To my ears, the Tube Driver is more of a dirt pedal than an overdrive. It shares some tonal similarities with a lot of the digital/metallic-sounding pedals from the late 80’s/early 90’s. The previous owner said he thought it sounded like a Tube Screamer with an even bigger mid-boost, but I don't necessarily agree with that assessment. Even when the Volume and Distortion knobs are cranked, the boost in volume is fairly subtle in comparison and it doesn't seem like this pedal was designed to demolish your preamp tubes. When the Volume and Distortion knobs are cranked, the Low/High knobs make it easy to emulate that classic 90's chainsaw/bee-swarm fuzz sound (without the headaches/tinnitus).

The pedal itself is in good shape for its age, but there are some scratches, scrapes, and imperfections to be found. It's been gently cleaned with rubbing alcohol and I sprayed the pots with Deoxit to make them smooth and noiseless. Everything works wonderfully on this pedal, by the way.

Doesn't come with a 9v battery or power supply :( sorry. Free shipping via USPS Ground Advantage is being offered for this listing to the lower 48 states!
