Decorative Antiques & Unique Interiors

A fantastic antique mahogany scoreboard. With gilt makers name to the centre for Thomas Padmore and Sons of Birmingham. Thomas Padmore founded his business in Birmingham in 1830. Originally specialising in wood and ivory turning and cabinet making, eventually they would focus on the growing business of billiard table making along with related accessories.

The skill of the company's workers in wood turning and cabinet making can be seen in this high quality scoreboard, with beautifully made markers and well constructed cabinet. We particularly like the hand drawn numbers which are full of character. With hanging brackets to back for wall mounting. A fabulous period piece, perfect to add soul and character to any modern space.

Condition

As can be seen some damage to the cabinet and one missing marker. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions

87 cm width, 4.5 cm depth, 29.5 cm height
